Discover the spiritual heart of Bali at Sala Sacred Waterfall, a peaceful hidden gem rarely visited by tourists. This experience is perfect for travelers seeking inner peace. It also suits couples, friends, or anyone curious about Bali’s living traditions.
Before the purification begins, you will join a traditional Balinese prayer. However, you do not need to follow the Hindu faith. Simply join with an open heart and respect. The prayer is usually guided by the temple priest (Pemangku). If he is unable to attend, his assistant will lead it instead.
After the prayer, your melukat purification ritual begins. This sacred cleansing lasts about one hour. It takes place at the holy waterfalls and sacred springs within the temple grounds. On the way, you will walk through a shallow river and a small tunnel. Finally, you will enter the area of the two sacred waterfalls. As a result, the journey feels even more magical.
Since the area is not crowded, you can enjoy the ceremony in a calm atmosphere. In other words, you have time to truly feel the energy of the sacred water.
Afterward, we suggest continuing to Goa Gajah Temple, the ancient Elephant Cave. There, you will see historic carvings, sacred bathing pools, and lush jungle scenery. However, this tour is fully customizable. After the melukat, you are free to choose where else to go. Then, our local guide will arrange the rest of your day.
In addition, all ritual essentials are prepared for you. These include offerings for the ritual and the priest, a sarong, and the temple donation.
