Symbolic Balinese Wedding Ceremony at Puri Tegal Jaya

Top Highlight

Celebrate your love with a unique and memorable symbolic wedding experience at Puri Tegal Jaya, a traditional Balinese family residence featuring distinctive architectural elements inspired by Bali’s royal-era heritage. This experience is perfect for honeymooners, couples renewing their vows, or anyone who wants to share a special moment while discovering Bali’s living traditions.

Flexible timing: The ceremony time can be arranged according to your preference. Guests are kindly asked to arrive at Puri Tegal Jaya at least two hours before the ceremony. This gives you enough time for preparation, dressing, and makeup. Two professional Balinese wedding stylists will prepare your traditional makeup, elaborate accessories, and the magnificent Payas Agung wedding attire. This royal-inspired costume reflects the beauty and grandeur of traditional Balinese wedding dress.

At the specified time, the symbolic wedding ceremony begins, led by a Pemangku, a priest who serves at the family temple. Through traditional prayers and ceremonial rituals, you will experience the spiritual atmosphere and cultural heritage of a Balinese wedding.

After the ceremony, you will walk out through the Kori Agung, the grand gateway of the puri courtyard, and be welcomed with beautiful flower garlands and a shower of petals. It is a romantic moment that makes for memorable photographs.

You will then return to the courtyard for an exclusive early dinner of traditional Balinese cuisine in the charming atmosphere of the residence. During dinner, enjoy a live traditional Balinese dance performance, accompanied by pre-recorded gamelan music played through speakers. Please note that the gamelan is not performed live.

The evening ends with a joyful finale: you are invited to dance together with a Balinese Joged Bumbung dancer. You leave with beautiful memories of Balinese culture, royal-inspired traditions, and a special celebration of your love.

Please note: This is a symbolic cultural wedding ceremony and is not a legally registered marriage. The experience is intended for cultural participation and personal celebration.
